Software Acceptance Testing

Overview

Software acceptance testing is an independent and objective quality verification of a software system carried out by a third-party software evaluation organization, commissioned by the owner or other project stakeholders when a software project is completed or delivered in phases. Based on the project contract, tender documents, requirement specification, design documents, user manual, acceptance criteria and the testing scope confirmed by the client, Star River Quality evaluates whether the system meets its construction objectives and delivery requirements.

The Value of Software Acceptance Testing

Software acceptance testing helps owners, construction units and project managers objectively understand the quality of system construction and identify missing functions, abnormal business processes, interface interaction problems, data handling errors, insufficient compatibility, usability issues and operational stability risks. It provides a technical basis for formal project acceptance, phased delivery, procurement acceptance and contract performance acceptance.

The service applies to software project acceptance in government informatization, e-government platforms, smart cities, healthcare, education, finance, energy, transport and enterprise digital transformation, helping clients reduce delivery risk, improve acceptance efficiency and ensure that systems enter formal operation smoothly.

Testing Basis

Software acceptance testing follows the national standard GB/T 25000.51-2016, Systems and software engineering — Systems and software Quality Requirements and Evaluation (SQuaRE) — Part 51: Requirements and testing details for ready-to-use software products (RUSP), and is carried out in combination with the project tender document, contract, requirement specification, design documents, user manual, acceptance criteria, industry standards and the testing requirements confirmed by the client.

Testing Content

Software acceptance testing focuses on whether the system meets the contract, the construction content and the actual business requirements. Testing can cover functional implementation, business processes, interface interaction, data handling, compatibility, usability and documentation consistency; depending on the project characteristics and acceptance requirements, dedicated tests such as performance efficiency testing and security testing can also be carried out.

Service Process

The service process includes acceptance requirement communication, document collection, testing scope confirmation, test plan preparation, test environment setup, test case design, test execution, issue logging, result review and report compilation. Throughout the process we keep standardised records of test steps, test data, issues found and evaluation conclusions, ensuring a traceable testing process and verifiable results.

Our Capabilities

Star River Quality provides professional, scientific, fair and rigorous software acceptance testing. After testing, a CMA or CNAS software test report can be issued as required for project acceptance, system delivery, procurement acceptance, contract performance acceptance, launch confirmation and quality evaluation.
