Brazil IPv6 Pretesting
Testing Overview
Brazilian telecommunications equipment market access requires devices to have IPv6 access and processing capability, and ANATEL’s assessment includes practical details that the generic conformance suites do not cover. Brazil IPv6 pretesting completes a rehearsal test against the target requirements before formal submission, exposing protocol implementation and network adaptation issues early, allowing time for remediation and reducing the risk of formal test failure and market launch delay.
Applicable Product Scope
Terminals with fixed service interfaces, air-interface terminals with mobile interfaces, and DOCSIS-interface terminals with routing functions. This includes but is not limited to: Wi-Fi access points, PON equipment, mobile phones, tablets, IoT devices with IP access, layer-2 switches, broadband remote access servers, layer-3 switches/routers, gateways, load balancers and firewalls.

Test Duration and Sample Requirements
The pretest duration depends on the product form and the scope of test items; it is recommended to schedule it before the formal application submission to leave time for remediation and retesting. Samples are production devices of the same model planned for the Brazilian market, in a quantity that covers the declared interfaces and service forms, with the specific list confirmed with the client after acceptance.
Our Capabilities
We are familiar with ANATEL’s assessment criteria for IPv6 capability and its common rejection reasons, and provide the full loop of pretesting, issue localisation and remediation advice, and retesting after remediation. We also help clients plan the test evidence and documentation required for formal submission.
