SRRC Certification
Certification Overview
SRRC (State Radio Regulatory Commission) is the statutory authority in China that administers type approval for radio transmission equipment. SRRC type approval is China’s market access regime for wireless communication devices: it ensures that radio equipment uses frequencies in accordance with national regulations and standards, so that other wireless devices can operate without interference.
Since June 1, 1999, the Ministry of Information Industry (MII) has required all radio transmission equipment sold or used in China to pass SRRC type approval. Depending on the product type, CCC certification and the Network Access License (NAL) may also be required as part of market entry.

Product Scope
- Radio communication, navigation, positioning, direction-finding, radar, remote control, telemetry, and radio/TV transmission equipment
- Fixed communication equipment, public mobile communication equipment, and short-range (low-power) transmitting devices
- Dedicated mobile communication equipment, broadcast transmitters, aviation/maritime communication and navigation equipment, radar, and satellite communication equipment
⚠️ Note: industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) equipment, electrified transport systems, high-voltage power lines, and other installations that do not actively transmit radio waves are not covered.
Timeline
The standard process takes about 40–60 working days (roughly 2–3 months).
⚠️ Note: this timeline starts once documentation is complete and the application has been submitted. It excludes the upfront document collection and sample pre-testing stages, as well as any remediation time if issues arise during laboratory testing.
Our Advantages
For SRRC type approval we have extensive hands-on experience and are familiar with the testing standards and common rejection reasons for radio transmission equipment. We provide professional support from technical documentation through formal application to certificate delivery. Our laboratory is staffed with a dedicated engineering team that pre-tests samples before formal submission, identifying RF or documentation issues early so samples enter laboratory testing in the best possible condition. This reduces test failure rates and helps clients shorten the certification cycle at the lowest time cost and compliance risk.
