Certification Overview

Saudi EER energy efficiency certification is a mandatory certification issued by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO). All products on the control list must pass energy efficiency testing, obtain an energy efficiency certificate, and bear the energy efficiency label before they can be sold in the Saudi market. Suppliers — manufacturers, importers, producers, or their authorized representatives — who violate this rule bear all resulting legal liability.

The product categories covered by SASO energy efficiency certification continue to expand, including but not limited to:

• Air conditioners
• Refrigerators and freezers
• Washing machines
• Dryers
• Water heaters
• Lighting products
• Electric motors
• Vehicle tires

Timeline

The certificate is valid for 1 year; the typical project cycle is 1–2 weeks.

Our Advantages

Air conditioners, refrigerators, and similar products entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must meet Saudi standard requirements, be tested by a SASO-registered laboratory, and complete EER registration with SASO. Through our cooperation with SASO, we provide laboratory registration, product testing, and product registration services.
