Saudi IECEE Certification

Certification Overview

SASO IECEE certification is a system established by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to ensure that imported electronic products meet Saudi national standards and safety requirements. The system is also known as the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate (SIRC).

Since September 1, 2020, the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate has been a prerequisite for products in the mandatory scope to enter the Saudi market. SASO operates three IEC-related certificates: the IECEE National Recognition Certificate — issued by SASO based on an existing CB certificate and test report; a mandatory prerequisite for products entering Saudi Arabia. The IECEE CB Scheme Certificate — applied for in Saudi Arabia directly through the CB system, for products that do not yet hold a CB certificate from another country. The SASOEX Certificate of Conformity — a conformity certificate for electrical products, linked to the SABER customs clearance system.
