Our Services

IPv6 Deployment Adaptation Testing

Testing Overview

This service addresses the IPv6 deployment process of devices and systems in actual networks, assessing deployment adaptability in dual-stack access, IPv6-only access and network upgrade or migration scenarios. Testing combines typical deployment topologies and operating practices and covers address planning, routing access, domain name resolution and service cutover, identifying deployment risks and helping remediate them to provide a basis for large-scale IPv6 deployment.

Applicable Product Scope

Network and security equipment, terminal and gateway products, application systems and platforms providing IPv6 access capability, and networks and business systems currently undergoing IPv6 upgrades.

Testing Content

  • Dual-stack access and default address selection (RFC 6724)
  • IPv6-only access: address acquisition via SLAAC (RFC 4862) and DHCPv6 (RFC 3315)
  • DNS resolution and adaptation to DNS64/NAT64 transition environments (RFC 6147 / 6146)
  • CE router scenarios: prefix delegation and LAN-side announcement (RFC 3633 / 7084)
  • Address planning and service continuity verification in upgrade and migration scenarios

Applicable Standards

  • IPv6 Ready Logo Program Phase-2 Test Specification (CE Router scenarios)
  • RFC 7084 Basic Requirements for IPv6 Customer Edge Routers

Test Duration and Sample Requirements

Deployment adaptation testing is tailored to the target network topology and service profile, with the duration determined by the scenario scope; assessments involving live-network upgrade or migration can be rehearsed first in a test network. Sample and configuration requirements are confirmed by scenario after acceptance, and projects involving live-network information are handled under confidentiality requirements.

Our Capabilities

We can build dual-stack, IPv6-only and transition-technology test environments (NAT64/DNS64, prefix delegation and so on), assess deployment risk together with address planning and operating practices, deliver remediation advice with tracked verification, and support IPv6 large-scale deployment and upgrade decisions.
