Mexico CRT Certification
Certification Overview
CRT (Comisión Reguladora de Telecomunicaciones) is the mandatory market access requirement for all wireless and telecom equipment entering Mexico. Managed by Mexico’s telecommunications regulatory commission, it ensures equipment complies with Mexico’s spectrum management rules and avoids interference with other devices or services.
Since July 2025, CRT has formally replaced the former Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) as the regulator. The certification system is in transition from IFT to CRT, but the core requirements remain unchanged.
