Saber is a new product conformity certification and assessment system driven by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), mainly targeting all kinds of goods and batch shipments exported to the Saudi market.
From an operational perspective, Saber is essentially an online certification management platform carrying the core functions of product registration and application for and issuance of Certificates of Conformity (CoC), and is a key link in the digitalization of Saudi import supervision.
All goods exported in bulk to Saudi Arabia must be declared through the Saber system or another official platform designated by Saudi Arabia, and the corresponding Certificate of Conformity must be obtained according to the product category and control requirements.
For wireless communication products, exporters need to verify the specific HS code in the Saber system to confirm whether the SABER COC-CST certification must additionally be obtained, thereby ensuring compliance with the Saudi market’s specific requirements for radio equipment.
SABER COC-CST is applied for on the basis of CE RED reports and compliance documentation; lead time is 2 weeks.
